Veterans Day: We Remember

In Flanders fields the poppies grow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

This is part of a poem that I grew up reciting every year at school in Remembrance of our fallen soldiers.

I wish America had a larger tradition of using a poppy symbol to visibly honor our Veterans.
